With a joint effort of Rotary Club of Kathmandu North East (RCKNE) and Nepal Heart Foundation (NHF), a 2 day free Heart Screening Program of School Children in Jyamrung Village, Dhading on March 03 04, 2016 was conducted successfully. 6 medical team in the leadership of Senior Heart Specialist Rtn. Dr. Prakash Raj Regmi, Dr.Krishna Shrestha, Dr. D Mansoor, and medial team Dipendra Poudel, Anmol Maharjan, and Mohan Shrestha had joined the program.
From Rotary Club of Kathmandu North East, President Rtn. Madhav Prasad Khakurel, Secretary Rtn. Tilak Thapa Magar, New member Rtn. Gopal Bista and Assistant Governor Rtn. Retd. Col. Lal B. Chand also had joined the program.
1800 children heart from different schools of Jyamrung, Dhading were screened free of cost andEchocardiography test was done in 1500 students from aged 5 to 15 and findings are 11 RHD ( 6 confirmed, 5 doubtful), 3 ASD, 1 Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, 48 minor congenital abnormalities.
